Does anybody has good ideas to obviate the ache in thighs and the feets at the beginning of the season?! I think it is painful at the first runs and days! |
skating gets rid of it. Skating things like vert or parks, to the point when you go home tired at the end of the day. It works basically the same muscles. |
fuck i know exactly what you mean. i haven’t been on snow and basically (excepting some easy skatesessions) on any kind of board till Hintertux session last weekend. and every fucking muscle in my whole body hurts like shit :-) |

i love coming home thrashed |

the time after shredding isn’t the worst. it’s the following days.. ;) |
hehe, yea rockafella we understand eachother…. but to skate sounds good! |
drink lots of fluids after hard day of riding. Atleast 2l of juice/water,something… |
or eat atleast 2L of snow….which is commonly what I do. But only when it is fresh |
but never eat yellow snow.. (long time has passed since i heard this last time) |

when my feet hurt during the first days, i just simply unstrap off my bindings every now and then and walk and jump around a bit…then a few more runs and repeat. i do hate those crampin’ feet. |
and it’s one of the best feelings when unstraping after a few runs. so i change the direction on the T-bar. so for example first run i unstrap my left foot and 2nd run the right foot. it’ a little bit scatchy to go switch onefooted or switch onefooted with your front foot unstraped but it’s good for the boardfeeling and more comfortable for two regular riders or two goofys… |

Last year I’ve started free climbing three months before first snow( probably u’ll kick me out from the forum),but didn’t felt any muscle pain or have crampin’ feet after first day on the snow . |
i think free climbing is cool but i’m scared of hight when i’m not on a rope… |

I still say the board sports are the best for that. Skateboarding for sure. Its cheep, easy and you can do that anywhere. If you have a pipe, you can wear yourself out on that in less then three hours, and it uses the same muscles. Wakeboarding, is great for the upperbody too, but if you dont have a boat, then it becomes a problem. I dont really care for that sport though, because I like the freedom and independance of not being pulled by something. You can work up your endurance with sports like motorcross or mountain biking. Endurance is an important factor in anything. |

Have you ever tried freeboarding ? for me it’s better than skateboarding… |
you mean these kind of skateboards with 3 wheels on each axis? |
yeah, it allows you to simulate snowboarding on the street… but it’s more expensive than a skate |
dont’ laugh but I do a lil Tai Chi. one of my guy friends does yoga and says it helps him. |
always wanted to try Tai Chi…but it takes a while to master? |
@andres190 is it hard to learn? i’ve seen some videos and it looks really col but a bit hard to learn… |
well it isn’t so hard… if you know how to snow and skate it will be easy… |
i would be afraid of going like drift on fs edge downhill. Isn’t it easy to “edge” in—> bs scorpion? |
