hey,

im new to snowboarding ( 3 rides this years) im starting to get the trick but my ass still hurt a bit.

i was just curious, i ride an older parallax, probably not a begginner model but well… i wonder how old is my board it is blue with a silver satelite and an orange flame and orange side.

also the blue top layer is starting to peel ,what kind of glue should i use to repair it. i was thinking of a contact type of glue.

see ya,
simn

he, don’t know this board but to repair it you can either use contact glue or glues like they use it in modelmaking. but just if it’s really just the top sheet. It’s pretty hard to repair boards cause if water comes between the two repaired layers and freezes it will bust again because the water expands….

never heard of the board either. It most likely is some cheaply made beginner board.

Glue is not going to work to fix the topsheet. Glues become brittle in the cold and will seperate. Then you have the adheasive stuck to the board and it makes it hard to make anything else stick

Epoxy is the best way to go, but I dont recommend doing it if you dont know how. Give it to a sports shop and they will fix it for $20 or so

I know the parallax it is actually a pretty good board although it is about 5-6 year old model.
And I agree with rockafella and Agent the glue won’t fix it but idk what will.

I know exactly which board are you talking about:your parallax is 03/04 model,a bit stiffer freestyle board. The problem that occured happened with first series of decks produced(they changed everyone who came to claim it for warranty). In your case warranty is probably not an option(old board), therefore I suggest you try to repair it with epoxy. It should work and stick for sure.
