Hi mates.

I got a big school project, and i thought i could get some help in here.
I want you to describe what a snowpark needs before you’ll call it a snowpark?
Is it ok with you to ride on brushes outside when the weather is too hot for snow, or do you prefer a snowpark in a hall with snow canons? This is just one of lots of things i want to know, so just explain what you prefer.

You might not know Denmark, but my project is to build a snowpark in Denmark. The danish summer is approximately 27 degrees, and the winter is approximately -7 degrees. It’s sometimes windy. hmm… I think it’s all the infomation i can give about the danish weather. i gave you these information about the danish summer because, you might prefer a snowpark in a hall in the summer or not?

It’s easy to write what i think, but i need to get some information about what different peoples prefer and want.

This is my exam project so please give me some realistic answers, it means lots for me, if you want to use 5-10 minutes.
Thank You.

well since denmark is pretty flat, i would stick with mostly urban rail features and boxes, tree jibs, wall rides etc. Jumps are hard to maintain, and you can set up all kinds of rails with hardly any snow.
Though, if you wanted jumps, I would suggest making them out of dirt and then lightly covering them with snow. That is the best way to do it with only a little amount of snow.

Well for winter I would do what agent-G told you. Probably making the jumps already out of dirt or hay and then covering it with snow. But rails are probably the best answer with lil snow.
For Summer: You can build water jumps. They work fine here in czech republic. They are covered with that artificial brushes. A snow hall isn’t a bad idea, but it’s pretty expensive. In it you can have both…rails and jumps :) But my friends that ride in them told me it’s not really comfortalble going from the snow hall directly outside into hot weather. (like from -5 to +30)
Oh and btw. if you have too much wind, then it’s better to do just rails, since wind slows you down a lot for jumps

i have to agree with the others. rails are goin to be the way foward. a snow hall is a good idea i think my self. gives people a all year round chance to hit the park. plus for added money you could put a rentle shop in the snow hall.

Here in Holland we have a few snowhalls, and I think it is genius. Around Christmas and right before the holidays it’s always completely stuffed, but in summertime there are times you are completely alone in the hall.

The only downside is, that the artificial snow they use is pretty bad for your wax/board. But what the hell, you can go at it all summer long!
