pav consider the el grande, i’m rideing with this kind of board and it’s really fantastic both on slope and in powder. the omega sidecut works very well and the board is really agile and fast also in forest riding.

Oh ok cool with that :) I guess the best 4 you would be to try some boards out (if you get a chance. Sometimes they have these “try our boards” days at resorts :) )

I think i´ll just wait another year with buying a new board, if i can i´ll try to rent a artec board, to see how it behave.

Yeah, I do this!
I ride Ascent during 2nd season and instinctively compare all snowboards with this one.
Ascent, as I said, excellent in powder, forest riding and on the slope prepared with snowcat. But not usable on the slope with mounds. I was say about this with elan’s dealer and he say the same.

About Vertigo. This snowboard most suitable in snow conditions like this: hard packed snow (prepared with snowcat), wind packed snow, soft or hard bumpy off-piste, soft snow with many old traces. Excellent stability and edge running. Unsufficient maneuverability in forest riding. Slow turns in powder. You need more speed to make your ride fun. Otherwise Vertigo looks stupid. For experts only! If you have more facedowns with this snowboard, then you actually noob who only think that already pro. Kinda Vertigo want to say you: “Take other snowboard and go to snowboard school”.
Also I was try to ride Artec 4.3. I think that Artec 4.3 is most universal. Fast turns, good stability on the slope looks like for mogul. Nice fast turns in powder. I would like to got this as one snowboard for all snow conditions.

PS: Sorry for my bad English…
“Bumpy off-piste” slope and “stability and edge running” hears correctly?
Sorry. Translating difficulties…

Next week I will compare new Vertigo and Ascent in official distributor’s test, and then I’ll post my own opinion about both boards.
I rode Ascent during last season and I think this board best for powder, forest riding. Probably for hard windpacked snow Vertigo may be more appropriate. I’ll hope to clear up this next week.

Hello all, i am looking for a new board. Been riding for some years on my current board an Elan Endless. Can anybody shed some light on the stiffness/flex of this board, it is my first board, so i can´t compare it to others from my experience. I am looking for a freeride board/all mountain board. Is the Vertigo an option, i am in doubt because in reviews this board get the mark as being very stiff and a boardex board. Or would the Ascent be a better option ?

Regards Rob
