Add pictures in gallery

How add pictures in a new gallery?
I m on a page where in can create aa new gallery with a name and contents but how upload pictures?

first create a gallery with name (title) and description (description). After that click on “mange images” and “add images”.. and start adding images to the gallery … You can add more images at once by clicking on “add another file”..

i m sorry but I can t find where is the button “add images”. I can create a new gallery but cant find how to upload.
I use a Mac perhaps it s for that?

if you use mac… use firefox ... safari is outdated …
the button should be in the content area with read background together with edit manage and delete button

jep works fine on mine..

I m at work and i use a PC and it works I can see the buttons and I can upload pictures.
On my Mac i use Firefox and the button didnt appear.

oh, and is it suppose to take so long after you post a picture to see the gallery? After posting, I go into the gallery and it doesnt show up for a while

also, there is the gallery button that shows all the gallerys…Why dont my pictures post in that under the day that they were posted?

we had a great deal of spams from China last year so everything is set to display delay… helping us banning the spammers :)

You are able to see it in your own gallery as soon as you upload..

okay, that makes sense…no one wants spam.

so, are there specific dimention sizes for the pictures? All the pictures I am uploading onto here are getting cut off.

you must upload images here… and no linking them from other websites…if you upload image properly it will re-size and generate a thumbnail. So when you generate a new gallery:
1. name – title – the gallery and give it a description Content *(not links to images)
2. you go to manage images
3. add more images

so linking it up is not a proper way to go.

I still can’t upload pictures on all computers I used :-(
Am I alone to have this problem??

the “islands” you uploaded from where?

how large is the image? (in mb) maybe it exceeded the webservers fileupload size…

@agent-G: it’s as simple as it can be…allows you to do everything so you don’t have to link pictures from other site…but yes for all of that to work you have to click a bit :).

@kemar: what kind of a video format did you upload?

it s pictures I tried to upload and dont knos why but today the buttons appear on my computer at work…. too strange

yay! So the videos I had finally posted. I guess it just took it awhile?

try some more… it should work now faster ;) you can go with formats like MPG, MP4, Quick time, AVI,..we will have to set up a file size limitation … what do you think it should be cca 10mb?

well, it depends on the quality of the video. 10 MB can just be a little clip. But then again, you dont want the server getting lagged because of large files.

is there a way for when the video gets reformatted, to convert the quality to a lesser one? That way it could convert large files to smaller ones. You dont need great quality for a web site anyway
